The Artistic Advisory Board for the Saharan edition announced

The new Board is to join the research and preparation for the next Culturescapes festival.

The Artistic Advisory Board members are invited to critically reflect on the curatorial approaches of the CULTURESCAPES curatorial team and to share in-depth expertise on the sociocultural landscape, history, and current practices of knowledge production in the region of Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa. Together we will work towards a sensitive and inclusive festival.

The Artistic Advisory Board is composed of five members: Yarri Kamara, writer, translator and policy researcher in Burkina Faso and Italy, Mohomodou Houssouba, researcher, linguist, and leader of the online Songhay dictionary project in Mali and Switzerland, Sandro Bernasconi, music producer and networker, co-founder of Sable & Chaux in Switzerland, Tobi Onabolu, writer and filmmaker in Benin, Nigeria and the UK, and Kerstin Ortmeier, artistic director of the Africologne Festival in Germany.

You will get to know more about the members of the CULTURESCAPES curatorial board in the upcoming weeks on our CULTURESCAPES social media channels.
