Carlos Gutierrez Quiroga

Film

Carlos Gutierrez Quiroga studied music at the Loyola University Music School and the Music Initiation Program (PIM) developed by the Orquesta Experimental de Instrumentos Nativos (OEIN). His focus is on teaching, composition, orchestra conducting, creation of instruments, and research of Indigenous music in Bolivia. As part of the OEIN, he has performed concerts in various venues in Bolivia and worldwide. He composed music for the Bolivian short film Juku (Kiro Russo 2011) and produced sound design and original music for the film Videofilia (y otros síndromes virales) (Videophilia (and Other Viral Syndromes) by Juan Daniel F. Molero, 2015) that received a Tiger Award of the International Film Festival Rotterdam. He participated in the festivals and residencies in Europe and the USA.
