Since the 1960s, Swiss-born, São Paulo-based photographer Claudia Andujar (b. 1931, in Neuchâtel) has dedicated her work to the indigenous community of the Yanomami in the Amazon rainforest, of which she is an active advocate. As a response to Andujar’s presentation at the Fotomuseum Winterthur, the Kunsthaus Baselland is enabling an accompanying view of the topic. On display will be a selection of Andujar's prominent work photography series such as Yanomami Dreams and Através do Fusca, both from the 1970s. These series from private and public collections from Europe and Brazil will be presented next to drawings by Yanomami-artist Poraco which are on display in Switzerland for the first time.
