The Last Forest

The Yanomami are the largest group of relatively isolated Indigenous people in South America. Their existence is threatened, among other things, by the advance of gold prospectors. With a mixture of documentary observation and scenic re-enactments, filmmaker and anthropologist Luiz Bolognesi approaches the culture, myths, and rituals of the Yanomami, repeatedly bringing their struggle to preserve their habitat to the fore.
