The Whisper of the Jaguar (O Sussurro do Jaguar)

Ana's brother, a Brazilian queer activist, was murdered. With his ashes in her luggage, the bereaved woman embarks on a journey through the Amazon that becomes a search for her own spiritual and sexual freedom. Ana's paths are full of encounters and challenges, she experiments with hallucinogenic drugs and plants, and makes her brother dance in her wild dreams. Staged as an exhilarating punk road movie, the film negotiates themes of grief and pain, youth and sexuality, pollution and postcolonialism.
