Shortly before our official opening, CULTURESCAPES 2021 Amazonia presents a night with dynamic Latin American dance rhythms like Samba, Tango or Mambo on September 25, 2021, 19:30. A concert bursting with energy!
Gabriela Montero, awarded with the 2018 Heidelberger Frühling music prize and artist in residence at Sinfonieorchester Basel, will perform her vivacious Piano Concerto No. 1, which she has previously played at venues like the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and at Carnegie Hall. In addition, the orchestra will play several orchestral dance works.
