Andreia Duarte is an artist, curator, director, and theater researcher with a focus on anti-coloniality. She lived five years in the Xingu Indigenous Park with the Kamayura people and since then has worked as an advocate for the Indigenous cause. She is a doctoral student at USP / ECA with a focus on theater and Indigenous peoples. For five years, she was a coordinator of the educational program at MITsp—International Theater Showcase of São Paulo. She was co-curator of the Anticolonial Perspectives Seminar in the seventh edition of MITsp. With Ailton Krenak, she works on the book (Long History of Denial). She is the artistic director of the production company Outra Margem (www.outramargem.art) where she works together with Indigenous thinkers and artists such as Ailton Krenak, Jaider Esbell, Denilson Baniwa, Zahy Guajajara, and Davi Kopenawa Yanomami.
