María Thaís

María Thaís is a director, curator, researcher, and professor of the Department of Performing Arts (Action and Direction) and the Graduate Program in Performing Arts at ECA / USP. She is a founder of Cia Teatro Balagan, where she directed several shows between 1994 and 2013. She has also led various productions in Berlin, São Paulo, and Florence. She collaborated as an educational director with the Moscow Theater School of Dramatic Arts, founded by Anatoli Vassiliev. She teaches and works as an educational and artistic coordinator at various theater institutions in Brazil, Italy, Colombia, Russia, among others. In 2010, she published a book Na Cena do Dr. Dapertutto – Poética y Pedagogía en V. E. Meierhold, 1911 a 1916.
